This painting was inspired by a moment I experienced myself in Tokyo. I stood by a window, looking out at the city, and captured the scene in a photograph. Later, I returned to that image and transformed the moment into a painting.

Rather than reproducing the photograph exactly, I wanted to capture how that moment felt — quiet, reflective and slightly distant. Woman by the Window is my interpretation of a personal memory from Tokyo, turning a fleeting moment into something lasting.
