This painting was inspired by a moment I experienced myself in Tokyo. I stood by a window, looking out at the city, and captured the scene in a photograph. Later, I returned to that image and transformed the moment into a painting.
Rather than reproducing the photograph exactly, I wanted to capture how that moment felt — quiet, reflective and slightly distant. Woman by the Window is my interpretation of a personal memory from Tokyo, turning a fleeting moment into something lasting.

Mediterranean was the beginning of my NO BASICS series — a reminder that you don't need to know everything about painting before you start.
I wanted to create a Mediterranean scene using simple shapes and colours rather than trying to make everything perfect. The goal was never to paint it “correctly”, but to paint freely and see where the process takes me.
NO BASICS #01 is built on one simple idea: everyone can paint.
